Trusted Plano, TX Dentist
Dr. Blankenship’s career in the dental field spans almost a full decade, and she never gets tired of helping others smile! She was initially drawn to this career because she loved the combination of science, biology, and art. After attending Hunter College and earning two degrees (one in Biology and one in Philosophy), she completed her doctorate at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. From there, she attended a General Practice Residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital that focused on oral surgery and periodontics among many other specialty services. During this time, she rotated through the MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she gained invaluable experience treating medically compromised patients.
Today, Dr. Blankenship continues to pursue further advanced training so that she can stay up to date with the latest developments in the oral healthcare field. This includes continuing education courses in dental implants, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. She’s studied with Nobel Biocare and at the prestigious Pikos Institute as well. This commitment helps her consistently elevate the quality of her care and expand her knowledge.
When she isn’t busy at the dental office, Dr. Blankenship’s first priority is spending lots of quality time with her husband and other family members. She also has a Corgi named Ellie and a Chihuahua named Biscuits, both of whom she loves dearly. Her favorite hobby is trying out new restaurants and cuisines whenever she has the opportunity. She also enjoys cooking at home as well.
