Made of comfortable acrylic, the aligners fit snugly over teeth, exerting gentle pressure to adjust tooth position. Treatment time with Invisalign clear braces averages 12 to 18 months, substantially less than traditional orthodontia.
To begin, your dentist will take X-rays and photos of your mouth. An Invisalign-certified lab will produce your complete series of aligners based on this data. Wear each aligner for about two weeks, and then continue with the next one. For optimal results, you need to wear the Invisalign clear braces most of the time, around 22 hours a day, but you can remove them for eating, brushing, and for special occasions.
